PhD position in "Coupled Offshore and Onshore Power Grids"
At the Department of Electric Energy (#IEL), #NTNU, there is an opening for a three-year #PhD position in "Coupled Offshore and Onshore Power Grids", in the research group Power System Operation and Analysis (PSOA).
The PhD study is a part of a larger research project (Category: Knowledge-building Project for Industry), titled ‘Development of Coupled Offshore and Onshore Power Grids’, led by SINTEF Energy Research, with three industry partners — Statnett SF, Aker Solutions, and GE Grid Solutions.
The selected candidate will take part in advancing the state-of-art research on the knowledge basis to support the coordinated development of power grids offshore as well as onshore, against a backdrop of large-scale offshore wind development and a changing onshore energy system.
