JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. 


The accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.


Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on the financial position, liquidity, and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all tax regulations.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Examining bank statements and reconciling them with general ledger entries.


Examining expenses submitted by employees.


Keeping an eye on incoming payments from accounts receivable and outgoing payments from accounts payable.


Analyzing accounting data to identify any unusual activity that might indicate fraudulent activity has taken place or errors.


Work collaboratively with other accounting officers within the organization. 


Complete database backup to secure financial information.


Utilize math skills to analyze key financial data.


Prepare financial statements such as income statements and balance sheets etc.


Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.


Present financial reports and estimates to decision makers within the organization.


Provide solutions to accounting issues as they arise.


Investigate and provide feedback on accounting irregularities.


Plan and deploy proactive accounting systems in other departments.


Analyze, initiate, and implement best practices and procedures in the accounting department.


Analyze financial performance and day-to-day task.


Ensure reconciliation and analyses of various records and registers.


Implement best quantitative practices and procedures. 


Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.


Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations.


Assist with and act as the primary point – of – contact for auditor’s requests.


Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.


Performs related work as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS:

BSc or MSc in Accounting, Banking and Finance, or related field.


3-4 years’ relevant experience as a professional.


Must be a Certified Accountant, ICAN is mandatory.


Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.


Proficiency in accounting software Such as Quickbook and MS Office applications.


Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.


Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
