FRESH GRADUATES HAVE RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
FRESH GRADUATES HAVE RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Young Graduates are often confused on where they stand when asked of their previous Research Experience and how to include same on their academic CV. If you are on this ship, read this closely.
If one of the fulfillment for the award of Bachelors in your University/ Polytechnic includes as final year analytical, evaluation or design project, then you have a previous research experience.
I don't know of other countries, but all Nigerian Universities ensure a final year student writes and submits a final year project. That is a research work and it is kept in the department for references and further research.If you don't have any other research work, the publication and scholarship part of your Academic CV should have something like this;
Arewa J.S (2022): Analysis of Facebook Post on COVID-19; A case study of Nigeria. A BA undergraduate research project, submitted to the department of Communications, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Also, your final year is a research experience time. The period you are scurrying the archives of the internet space in search for relevant literatures for your research, the lab works, the several reviews and corrections from your Supervisor accounts for research experience.
You should find a space for it on your academic CV. This is how to enter it on your CV;
Undergraduate Research Assistant
